Senior Adult Day Program (SADC)

The Friedberg JCC programs provide a structured, stimulating and supportive environment that encourages maximum independence while understanding the challenges of their diagnosis.  There are a variety of social, cultural, cognitive, and physical group activities for those with memory or functional impairment as a result of progressive neurocognitive impairment such as Alzheimer’s Disease or a related dementia.

All programs require an interview to ensure proper placement.
All classes are located in Sunrise Association Building on the JCC Campus, Sunrise Room B

T’ai Chi for Arthritis, Fall Prevention and Cognitive Awareness
Stay active and engaged every Friday for eight weeks starting November 7th. Learn this ancient practice of smooth and purposeful movements and how they support both body and mind. For both individuals with dementia and their care partners.
Fridays, 10-10:45 11/7-1/2 (No session 11/28)
$80; Members: $60
Our program offers the flexibility of rolling admission. Fees are adjusted based on your start date.

EARLY STAGE DEMENTIA PROGRAM FOR THE RECENTLY DIAGNOSED (ESP)
Tuesday through Thursday, 10:30-3:00
A full array of guest lectures, music, art, brain games, creative writing, specialized exercise and much more. Coffee, tea, snacks and hot kosher lunch are provided. Supported by the New York State Office for the Aging
$80 per session
An Early Stage Program (ESP)

AN EARLY STAGE AFTERNOON
Wednesdays 1-3 PM
Fee: $40 per session
For those who start their day later, join us for fitness, fun and friendship. Chair yoga, art, brain games and other stimulating activities. Light snack provided.

MIND BODY SPIRIT FOR MEN EXPERIENCING MILD COGNITIVE COGNITIVE CHANGES
Mondays, 1-3 pm
$50 per session
