The JCC also offers sports and fitness programs, such as introduction to weight training, a competitive swim team and basketball leagues.
Strength Training for Tweens (10–13 yrs)
Research has shown that strength training is a safe and appropriate activity for youth that may help ward off obesity and improve performance in sports and other physical activities. In this class your child will learn the proper techniques of resistance training and workout in a fun, comfortable and safe environment.
Intro to the Weight Room for Teens (13*–16 yrs) [For Members Only]
This 6-week course is an orientation to the proper use of the fitness center for teens. After completion of this course, you will have access to the fitness room. A signed parental release will be required.
*Please note: you must be at least age 13 years old age and in 8th grade.
