Does your preschooler need extra attention?

Bright Beginnings is an initiative of the JCC which offers programs, provides therapy services, and support for families with children with special needs. We are a licensed related service provider offering no-cost essential services to children (ages 3 and above) who have been approved through their school district’s preschool special education program. Bright Beginnings is designed to meet the individual and varied needs of every child and family.

The variety of services include:

  • Speech Therapy
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Social Work Therapy
  • Play Therapy

Our pediatric therapists are attuned to the needs of the children and their families by providing individualized therapy to meet the needs of each child.

Your child does not have to attend the JCC preschool to receive these services. Through collaboration with other local agencies, the JCC offers parent-advocacy training and workshops in subjects ranging from behavior modification to navigating the system. Bright Beginnings also offers service coordination, placement and supervision of therapists for children in need of services. We offer services in our new and improved sensory gym, the Oceanside and Merrick sites, your home, school or other community setting.

Our mission is to implement the utmost quality therapy services in a variety of settings that are warmhearted, respectful, and supportive to our clients and their families, empowering each child to reach their full potential.
