The fundraising department has an exciting year ahead as we celebrate the Friedberg JCC’s 10th Anniversary in the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Building with a number of ways to support the JCC and our stellar programs:
Arnie Preminger and Sunrise Day Camp featured on WABC-TV's Eyewitness News
WABC-TV's Eyewitness News is launching a new feature segment called Heroes in the Community. The first "hero" for this series is Arnie Preminger, President & CEO of the Friedberg JCC and Sunrise Day Camp.
The segment aired on Tuesday, September 1st and includes emotional interviews with campers and counselors who described what Sunrise Day Camp has meant to them and how Arnie's passion has changed their lives. Liz Cho, anchor of the 6 p.m. & 11 p.m. newscasts and reporter for this series, spent a morning interviewing Arnie and touring the camp.
1st Annual Ray Lammie Memorial Charity Classic Join us at the Moriches Athletic Complex in Center Moriches, NY as we honor one of Long Islands' finest ballplayers, managers and humanitarians in an effort to continue to support his favorite charity, Sunrise Day Camp.
If you knew Ray personally, you know how much he gave to various charities through baseball. His drive, focus and effort in helping many others who were less fortunate was overwhelming. We will now try to pick up a small part of Ray's work.
All teams will be guaranteed 3 games, a playoff format on Sunday, giveaway gifts, trophies to the winners.
Space is limited (12-16 teams). Bring a team, a small group, or just yourself.
Help us continue Ray's work and Legacy. The cost per player is a $150 donation

Harvest Ball NEW DATE! Due to storm damage in March, the Purim Ball has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2010 as the Harvest Ball.
To benefit the Friedberg JCC and Sunrise Day Camp.

Runners for Sunrise - 2010 ING New York City Marathon Team On November 7, 2010, Sunrise Day Camp will have 3 heroes running on our behalf in the ING New York City Marathon! The ING New York City Marathon is one of the world's great road races, drawing more than 100,000 applicants annually.

Champions for Charity Holiday Shopping Benefit 2010 From Thursday, December 2nd through Saturday, December 4th, over 70 participating Americana Manhasset and Wheatley Plaza stores will donate 25% of designated pre-tax purchases to Sunrise Day Camp.
Shopping for your holiday gifts will be a gift to our children; allowing children suffering from cancer to enjoy a summer of fun and laughter in addition to year-round camp like programming.
Purchases are not automatically eligible; you must register for a complimentary CHAMPION CARD. Beginning October 1st you can register online at www.championsforcharity.org, by phone at 1-800-818-6767 or in person at Americana Manhasset's Concierge Store. Simply designate Sunrise Day Camp as your charity of choice and present your CHAMPION CARD when making purchases during the event. 25% will be automatically calculated and submitted to Sunrise Day Camp.

6th Annual Walk To Help the Sun Rise Save the date and join us for this fun, non-competitive morning activity for people of all ages to benefit Sunrise Day Camp.
With 3 different courses to choose from, you can pick your ability level and join the fun at the beautiful Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds in Wheatley Heights. However you choose to celebrate, please join us for a fun filled day with musical entertainment, great food, games, pony rides, a rock climbing wall and a spectacular Finish Line Celebration that you won't want to miss!
