From a fledgling "Y" in a corner bank building, the Friedberg JCC has become the premier center for Jewish life on Long Island's South Shore and the foundation for the magic that is Sunrise Day Camp, the only dedicated day camp in the nation for children with cancer and their siblings. A center of hope and faith, a source of growth, the JCC has redefined the concept of community by creating a new model of what a Jewish Community Center can do. Our reach is only limited by our dreams, as we continue to stretch and grow far past our physcial space and into the lives of so many throughout New York and beyond.

Decade 2 The Friedberg JCC ~ Sunrise Day Camp Campaign

The Friedberg JCC, home of Sunrise Day Camp and so much more, is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you to help expand our life-affirming services by supporting the construction and programmatic expansion of three major facilities:

The Sunrise Pavilion a $3 million construction project on the grounds of the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds, providing a beautiful, rustic indoor facility critical to health and well-being (fun) of our special campers wrestling with cancer.
The JCC’s expansion a $3.5 million acquisition and renovation of an 18,000 square foot recreational center right next door to our existing facility in Oceanside.
The Friedberg JCC Weinberg Building a $5 million programmatic and facility expansion, designed to bring our current building in line with emerging needs while securing the JCC’s future by adding sustainable services and facility upgrades.
