Grades 5 & 6
Changing Scenes for our ‘tweens
Not yet a teen, no longer a junior, our 5th and 6th graders have their own unique transitional division. Half of the time they’re based at our wonderful Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds where they get to join in all the fun and enjoy the spectacular facilities and amenities available. Their program at the campgrounds is specifically designed to include special theme days, use of all sports facilities, arts & crafts, color war, entertainers and much more. A kosher catered lunch and snacks are included each day at the campgrounds.
When not at the campgrounds, Explorers enjoy the thrill of traveling to new and exciting destinations. Day trips include visits to amusement parks, professional sporting events, some of Long Island’s most exciting attractions and more! PLUS, Explorers will go on three incredible fun filled overnight trips throughout the summer to explore different locations. Past overnights have included places such as: Lancaster, Virginia, Boston, Lake George and many more!
Transportation for these overnight trips is on premier coach buses. Campers stay at modern Jewish Community Centers in the city that they are visiting and enjoy use of private pools and gym facilities after returning from an exciting fun-filled day of exploration and travel.
All trips/fees are included in the cost of tuition. All meals (except lunch on Day 1) are included on these overnights!
