Dame Helen Mirren was once told by a fortune teller that she would achieve her greatest success after the age of 40. Beginning her career in the Royal Shakespeare Company at 18, she would go
on to make over 125 appearances in movies and television. She is one of 15 actresses to have won the “Triple Crown of Acting” (Oscar, Emmy & Tony). Lunch will consist of wraps from Bagel Boss of Oceanside.

Jewish Life in Arab Countries
Presenter: Saul Silas Fathi

Born into a prominent Jewish family in Baghdad, Iraq, presenter Saul Silas Fathi had to be smuggled out of the country when he was 10-years old. Today, he discusses Jewish life in Arab countries, from the times of slavery in Egypt to the Farhud (Arabic for “violent dispossession”), a Nazi-inspired pogrom against Iraqi Jews in 1941. Lunch will consist of wraps from Bagel Boss of Oceanside.

Collaging Our Lives

In this workshop we will meet in a group environment and reflect on our life experiences through a creative medium such as collage. Please bring in old photos, pictures or any other memorabilia you would like to add to your project.
