Moments of forgetfulness are common but do not have to be a regular occurrence. Focus on interactive activities that will boost your memory & attention span. Stay sharp as you age through this series of fun games! Come to one, two or all three sessions.

Chanukah Party

Celebrate the season at our annual Chanukah party! Marvel at the menorah lighting and enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Kosher Emporium. Then become transported back in time when Warren Schein and his pianist perform a rollicking medley of music & comedy.

Holocaust Remembrance Day Program

Gloria Glantz was born in Poland in 1939. To save her life, her parents enlisted the help of a righteous Christian family. Don’t miss her story that has been shared around the world.Refreshments will be served.

Five Millers Presents Lunch & Learn: Dame Helen Mirren, Queen in Her Own Right

Dame Helen Mirren was once told by a fortune teller that she would achieve her greatest success after the age of 40. Beginning her career in the Royal Shakespeare Company at 18, she would go
on to make over 125 appearances in movies and television. She is one of 15 actresses to have won the “Triple Crown of Acting” (Oscar, Emmy & Tony). Lunch will consist of wraps from Bagel Boss of Oceanside.

Jewish Life in Arab Countries
Presenter: Saul Silas Fathi

Born into a prominent Jewish family in Baghdad, Iraq, presenter Saul Silas Fathi had to be smuggled out of the country when he was 10-years old. Today, he discusses Jewish life in Arab countries, from the times of slavery in Egypt to the Farhud (Arabic for “violent dispossession”), a Nazi-inspired pogrom against Iraqi Jews in 1941. Lunch will consist of wraps from Bagel Boss of Oceanside.

This popular program returns through a grant from UJA-Federation. Learn the basics of your iphone or ipad in a small, hands-on setting. Space is limited. Registration is required.

Collaging Our Lives

In this workshop we will meet in a group environment and reflect on our life experiences through a creative medium such as collage. Please bring in old photos, pictures or any other memorabilia you would like to add to your project.

Beginners in Watercolor

Learn to see with an artist’s eye and communicate your vision through the painting process. Explore the beauty of watercolor painting. Learn how to mix colors, techniques and more.

Writing the Tapestry of Our Lives: Preserving Family Stories

Let us guide you through the process of mining your personal history for the unique tales only you can tell and distilling them into written short stories that can be treasured for years to come and passed down forever.
